Be careful what you wish for... you just might get it

Soooo...as I look back, a couple of blogs ago, I was pining away for wanting to be at home more, having more time, etc. So Friday at 4:00, my supervisor of 8 years (the one that gave me a raise 2 weeks ago and told me 'thanks for all of your good work", fired me. For a stupid, trumped up documentation error. But only after having me do a lot of "dirty work" like calling families to give them bad news, dealing with the difficult families and residents, etc.

Now I am biding my time until I land another job. I have been wanting to get outta that place, so maybe God gave me the push I needed.

Anyway, pray for me to get something, so I won't have to live in the streets with my 3 dogs!

Oh, boo! But yes, this may well be the start of something better and as you say could be the push you needed. Maybe you can re-open your shop now??

Oh no! I was let go from my job almost 2 years ago out of the blue and know how that feels. Still a new path will open for you I'm sure! A better path. I decided to retire and it's been a good decision for me. hugs, Linda

Aww that does suck. Just went through a bad business deal myself. Only not only did they skip town, but they left owing me a nice lil chunk of money. So that business income stops, and I am out money. Arg.

Be mad, sad or whatever for a while, then you have to put it past you and take action.

This is terrible news! How very unkind of said supervisor! But maybe you will end up doing something totally amazing and new! This could be the next exciting chapter! I do ever so much hope so xxx

My husband was fired last September and, due to the BP oil spill and the usual seasonal slowdown in the oil field diving industry, he hasn't worked since. However, he's gotten nearly all the "honey-dos" off his list! See, there's always a bright spot in every dark cloud. Good luck, sweetie!!!

Sorry to hear about your job and the junk you went through right before the end! I'll pray for you!

I am so sorry to hear about your job loss. When I was returning to work right after my honeymoon I was dreading going back...I was not in the door 5 minutes before I was let go (while I was on honeymoon the management changed). What bugged me was I, too, had to do some not so fun work "that had to be done RIGHT then" before I left...and all the while this creep of a Admin knew I was not going to be working there anymore. So I "feel ya" on both points. All happens for a reason and I hope yours works out for you as well as mine has (in a roundabout way).

Thanks everyone! I have been busy looking for jobs that I think will be much better. It's just getting past the fear. Since Fri. I have heard so many awful things about other people getting the axe and others scheming to replace them. I'd much rather be gone than to work in that environment! It really means a lot that you all posted! Thanks, again! You guys always cheer me up!!
