we had one of the original VW bugs and put flower power decals on it in 1968. we had just moved from California to Alabama and people assumed we were wild hippies. Not quite then--that happened a year later. I miss Woolworth and TG&Y.

Yeah, me too! I was a Midwest, suburban hippie who would hitchhike to Westport when my parents thought I was next door! Saw all the bands at the Cowtown Ballroom!

aww...woolworth. Ours closed in the late 80's...I worked at, what we called, the gross mall (because no one ever went there and the work was easy) and the Woolworth was there while I was working. As soon as it closed, the mall went with it.

I have a Raggedy Ann decal that I have been saving for years. I can not wait to use it in a future nursery.

I actually remember being in my childhood Woolworths, looking at the hamsters and parakeets in the very back of the store and right beside the pets section was a spinning stand of these decals! Oh how I coveted them. My mom would never buy them for me. I did however have a hamster or two from there!

I remember the nursery rhyme decals on a dresser when I was young.
