I cashed in on the pillowcases today@ the Disabled Vets Thrift Store.

Let's see, this weekend...it went by, as usual in a blur. First, I took my beagle Angel back to the vet. I knew it wasn't good, because she is more congested now. As soon as we got in the door, she peed, and it had blood in it. So, when we finally got to see the doc, he felt of her stomach and said, "she's full of bladder stones"., and then, he said she had congestion, probably congestive heart failure and put her on Lasix.
I also had a good time, not all bad this weekend. We went to my oldest son's birthday party. I got to see my girls, which is always great, and some other people I haven't seen in ages. Then, we kicked off the Halloween season early and went to see "the Last Exorcism". Pretty strange...
I love these pillows!
I also found a movie, The Mambo Kings, with Armand Asante...very sexy and fun to watch the clothes, etc.
Just couldn't stop myself from putting out some Autumn  barkcloth! See ya soon

I've been collecting those pillowcases for awhile and I think they're so sweet! Wonder if they're still making them but I'll bet not as they ARE kinda mushy. So sad to see items that were given to someone with love wind up in the thrift store but then at least people like us can take them home and love them again! Give the pup a hug from Holly--she went through the entire heartworm series, it nearly killed her but she's doing great now. Hugs to you too Deb!!!

I always wonder about peoples things winding up in thrifts, on eBay and antique malls, kind of makes me sad sometimes. The family photos I understand the least.

I love that you are decorating early!

ahhhh hope your pup is at least comfortable. Chris and I send healing mojo. I was sure his time was up, happened all the other times with pets, but we got a break this time, so maybe your pup will have some good time left yet.

Hugs and speedy recovery to your beagle puppy. :(

I love your new pillowcases - the sentiment in them really makes me proud of fellow humans. We are kind, and gracious, and polite when we want to be, yah?

And yay for autumnal decor! I hope with the collective consciousness yearning for cooler weather that it comes SOON!

Thanks all! These pillows, amazingly, are like new. They were probably in some ladies buffet drawer all these years, as they do have the faint smell of cedar. I go thru phases in which I want piles of these on my chenille bedspread, then none. Right now, I took it as a sign that I'm supposed to have them...found them all in one place! Angel seems better today. I looked up bladder stones and herbs, and there is a formula at the health food store. Think I'll give it a try. Zoot
