Rosie the Riveter and her "bomb" salt shaker

plastic fish plate holders

plastic thermal cups

teardrop candy dish

pink and turquoise snack trays

I look around the house, and notice...I have a thing for plastic stuff. In fact, I LOVE it. Whether it's a canister or a scoop or a salt and pepper shaker, it gives me a little thrill when I spot it. The brighter the color the better!

It just goes so good with vintage linens, etc...I love the cheerfulness of it!

Happy Fathers day

I wish my Dad was here, and if he was, I'll bet he would be fishing! I have two sons that I was able to wish a Happy Daddy's Day, but I just don't feel the same since my Daddy's not here. This is down at our cabin. We went there just about every weekend up until my Grandma passed. Then everyone seemed to start going their own ways and the cabin was sold. I hated that! So, the fish are dedicated to my Dad. He wasn't perfect, who is? I loved him and know he loved us so much. I miss you Dad.

Pink mixer!!

Wow!! I forgot I had this. I found it in my storage space. Pink flamingo pink, hand held GE mixer!!!! Alas, I debated, but I am going to sell it on Etsy! The first one to buy it on Etsy gets a super duper bonus!! Only for my blog friends....

Isn't she gorgeous????!!!!!

Bedroom and Guest Room switcharound

I seem to spend more time in my guestroom than in my own bedroom because the computer is in there, and I am blogging, or applying for jobs.... So I spiffed up a little, switched some things around and made it a little more interesting. I love looking at me Niagra Falls painting that hangs over my desk!

I got some cool ideas on arranging my floral pix and vintage shelves and lamps etc from Apartment therapy. I LOVED this loft that Mary Deluxe featured...Yes, I do at least have these lamp shades!

The website is Apartment Therapy,

It's one of the coolest vintage places I have come across yet! Other than all my blog friends places!

Blue Baby Blue

My neighbor sent these flowers over today. We used to call them snowballs. I decided blue would be a good color for today. Still in limbo with the job situation. Oh well, tomorrow's another day!!

What happened?

I haven't had one comment so I am thinking something's wrong with blogger! I see my views are sky high, but no comments!! Especially weird is I posted Kitty's winning prizes! Anyone else having a problem?

Well, off to work in the garden, then to the thrift stores with my daughter!!!

Kitty's prize part two

Again in the midnight hour, I present Kitty's prize for the smoking and ashtray collection part two.
I thought of what someone that lives in another part of the world needs to see of America, so I will give her New York:
