I must say, I feel a little like an old fogey. Mom always looks at my fifties stuff and says, "Why do you want this old junk?" I mean, she got over it when she bought her Mediterranean furniture! So, the 70's stuff is kind of like that to me! But, it grows on me..and even looks cool when mixed with mid century. I have been surprised that such an interest has been given to these items on my Etsy.

So, what do you all think about the seventies? Or would you rather be at the Disco?

Seventies is good, I say!!!
I appreciate alot of 70's stuff. Even a few 70's bright funky patterns mixed with an otherwise plain room adds tons of smiles and happiness! "Well to me anyways" hahah I have one of those suitcases, I love it to bits!
Yes, I do find myself liking a lot of it! Thanks, guys!
You know zoot, I never thought of 70's stuff as being anything but the junk I had when I was younger. I didn't like the Brady Bunch or interiors like theirs back then, and I didn't like avocado green or harvest gold for a loooong time.
I think I'm warning to SOME of it, thanks to other bloggers who show an appreciation for it. :)
I know, I feel the same. Well, I gotta keep open minded!
parts of 70s fashion are really appealing to me, although I don't know much about 70s decor beyond what is stereotypically shown in movies!
That 70's show? LOL! I saw one of my ice buckets on that show!
The 70's were wonderful! The best decade of all. It had the best music and the best clothes(later half of the 70's), but I am certainly glad that I was a tween and teen in the 70's because the decor is something I don't want to go back to! I love all shades of green, but not avacodo. I don't know if I will ever soften up to it!
Thank you for stopping by my blog. I "love" your idea of copying the shelf paper!
I'm starting to find myself more attracted to 70's stuff too. I really enjoy the turquoise/avocado/orange color mix...it makes me happy! Maybe I will do another vintage trailer someday, but all 70's.
Hey Frankie's wife!! Are you going to post something soon?? I so look forward to it! Yes, those colors are not what I really remember about the seventies, but I know they were there! I am liking it too, and my daughter puts it together so well!
