Hey all!!! Finnnnnaaaaaallllly, I broke down and bought a new fangled phone with internet and a camera. So -I can keep up with all of your blogs just in time for the holiday season! Here's a sneak peek at what little decorating I got done yesterday for Christmas at the Zootsuit place. Can't wait to finish and show ya the rest!

Happy Hallow'een at the Zoot Suit Place

Finally getting my new place on the blog, just in time for Halloween! I love my peek a boo window into the kitchen from the living room. I got lucky last week and found an apple tree that the neighbor wasn't going to be able to use the apples and picked a couple of crates full. Last weekend I peeled and cooked a ton, made and canned apple butter, pie, apple bread, and saved the peels to cook on the stovetop with cinnamon to smell up the house! It smelled so Fall-like! And the results of the applebread and pies were yummy, too! As a lot of my fellow bloggers know, this is my fav time of the year. I am soooooo excited to be going to Weston Missouri for the Apple fest with my family next Saturday. I hope to be posting pix again then. Hope you all are having a great start to Autumn!

Hey all! I am finally settiling into my new place and new job, feeling MUCH better, and ready to get back to it. I hope all are well, and someone is still out there in blog land! I decorated over the last week, and can't wait to show you HALLOWEEEEEEEN! Yes, I went all out and did every room!

Magic City

Hello all! I promise to get back into the blogging loop this week! Still not feeling well, getting used to a new job etc...I wondered, why has no one mentioned "Magic City"  ?? I loved the scenery, clothes etc. but it was a little graphic as far as sexuality. It takes place in Miami Beach 1959 and is on Starz. Just found out it has been cancelled after two seasons..but check it out!Hope everyone is well! Still enjoy looking at your blogs! See you soon!

Update

Wow! It seems like forever since I posted! In the meantime, I am all moved in my new place (pix to follow!) and love it, but have had some health issues that continue to bog me down. My back pain is crazy and I now think there is some nerve damage because of some new symptoms. Yes, it is slowing Zmama down on the new decor, but I am trying! I'll tell you all one thing, that basement cleaning was a horror I NEVER want to repeat. I have definitely "hit bottom" on my hoarding! So many broken and ruined items, too. What a waste. But all we can do is move forward. I plan to "keep it simple" and just decorate with my very favorite at the new place. Well, can't wait to look at all of your fun blogs and  to show you my new digs! Stay tuned!

Looking forward a few weeks!

Summer means all these things to me! Pretty flowers, going for a Mugs Up root beer, sitting on the porch and just relaxing! Can't wait for a few more weeks when I can hopefully do this! It's been nine years in this little cottage, and it's bittersweet. I'm not planting a big garden this year because I'm moving, but did put some tomatoes in buckets! and Basil, of course! But my new house will be so much more tidy and not so much hassle...no basement that floods to clean up! I can enjoy my time off on the weekends without feeling like I'm spinning my wheels. And my doggies will have a big yard to play in!!

Still having sales and clearing out! The last one (I said that before) before moving. My two older granddaughters are coming up for the first time in two years! I can't wait to see them next week, although it will be a mess around here! Well, more soon. Hope all are having a great Summertime!

Getting ready to move soon and still cleaning out. No fun, but I know the end result will  be that I get to decorate all over again!

Hello, it's been a while...so many things changing it's wild! Hope to be moving by the end of June after nine years in this house! Maybe a new job, and my eyes are finally better!! Exciting stuff, yes, but NOT as exciting as the fact that I am PURGING the house and all of my stored items! Cheapo cheapo! I will be featuring some of the items on Etsy, here and of course my house again this weekend (Sat. only, May 25th indoors). Last week was just "ok" because of some rain and I think lots of graduations. So I've lost my mind and am doing it all over on Saturday, estate sale style. Thriftstore finds and gloomy weather

Not a whole lot of thriftin' been goin' on around Zootsuitland! With my double vision still hanging on from my high bloodpressure scare (partially paralyzed my optic nerve) and the gloomy weather hanging on with it, rainy cloudy and cool, I just seem to make it to work and home. But last week I found a bunch of cool stuff all in one place! This Copper retractable hanging lamp in perfect condition, this blonde corner table ($4.00!) that has a few little scratches, orange vintage sheets, and my pride and joy, this vintage fan on a stand, Vernon, with a cool starburst insignia! Also, a really nice Pendleton!

I am sooooo ready for the rain to stop so I can start gardening. How's the weather where you are? The sheets, Pendleton and hanging copper lamp all went to Etsy shop!
