It's been another great thrifting weekend! Sometimes I shudder to think of what I must miss during the week if I'm finding this stuff on a Saturday! LOL~I also had a great day Friday eating at the Student Union where my son recently took over the chef dining director position at UMKC! Really great choices, and done well! He was featured in the KC Star a few weeks ago! So proud of him!
Other than that, just planting my tomatos, a few flowers and being at the place I love best, HOME! My younger son painted the living room chartreuse, and while I thought it would just be one wall, I decided to go ahead and do the whole room, since I LOVE it!

Everybodys Working for the Weekend!

How was your weekend? Mine was good, of course any day comprised of seeing the grandkids and thrifting is great! My two youngest granddaughters Lily and Kate had a soccer game..so cute!This picture is after the game and lunch. They had changed into their cute dresses! Then, on the way home, I found a few cool things, like this tile clock...and a BiCentenial Campbell's kids towel. The toaster and Sunbeam books are in the kitchen,  my cool glass front toaster quit~but hope to get it fixed. I love chrome too, though. I changed out my shelf paper to pretty colors in the kitchen from the white. My mom's old apartments had a "free table" and I will miss that! She found a whole box of different kinds of placemats, old and newer still in the wrapper, so I fashioned them into shelf liner. It really brightened things up~

Too bad this Ronson razor box had no razor!I couldn't resist, because of the Atomic symbol. Maybe I'll find the razor another time!~ Also, forgive the dark picture, I found a set of twin sixties headboards -padded vinyl with button tucks. Really cool, and only $15.00 for the pair. Well, until the next weekend thrifting spree, have a great week!!!

Easter in Preview

I got a few Easter items out last night that I thought I'd share with ya! Some went to Etsy, but a part of me didn't want to sell them! How do you like the Rice A Roni box? LOL...Part two will be tomorrow, when I haul out the Blo molds. I also found some cute stuff at a thrift store that is closing down...

Finally found a vintage shower curtain!!

I have been searching forever for a vintage shower curtain! Finally found this one only $2.00 at one of my fav junkie thrifts! They are so hard to find in good condition, unless they are in an original box...or on ebay for a fortune. This one will have to do..I love the pom poms! So - I changed some of the bathroom stuff to match. Still need a rug that's suitable.

Decal love and weekend thrift finds

This cabinet was a steal, of course I couldn't pass it up with the decals! I need a little piece to keep the door closed, but that's no biggy! Love decals as you can see!

Also, found these cute sad eyed kittens! and a rock picture - Comedy, but no tragedy, so maybe that's a good sign?

1972 magazine with some great period pix

Mad Men? No we aren't to the 70's yet on the show, but the flip on the girl reminded me of it! Can't wait til it comes back!Top of china cab with all my pottery etc. Couldn't remember if I've shown that yet.

I had to move the kitchen around to fit the new cabinet, so the back room got the red metal chair.
