Wow!! I forgot I had this. I found it in my storage space. Pink flamingo pink, hand held GE mixer!!!! Alas, I debated, but I am going to sell it on Etsy! The first one to buy it on Etsy gets a super duper bonus!! Only for my blog friends....

Bedroom and Guest Room switcharound

I seem to spend more time in my guestroom than in my own bedroom because the computer is in there, and I am blogging, or applying for jobs.... So I spiffed up a little, switched some things around and made it a little more interesting. I love looking at me Niagra Falls painting that hangs over my desk!

I got some cool ideas on arranging my floral pix and vintage shelves and lamps etc from Apartment therapy. I LOVED this loft that Mary Deluxe featured...Yes, I do at least have these lamp shades!

Blue Baby Blue

My neighbor sent these flowers over today. We used to call them snowballs. I decided blue would be a good color for today. Still in limbo with the job situation. Oh well, tomorrow's another day!!

What happened?

I haven't had one comment so I am thinking something's wrong with blogger! I see my views are sky high, but no comments!! Especially weird is I posted Kitty's winning prizes! Anyone else having a problem?

Well, off to work in the garden, then to the thrift stores with my daughter!!!

Kitty's prize for the ashtray contest! Part 1 Blogger-noir

Here we are with our midnight post again... I call it, "Blogger Noir".Well, I asked bloggers to post their smoking accessories, ashtrays, lighters, etc...Kitty by far had the most. Honorable mention to 50's atomic and everyone else who posted!

June is Birthday Month in this Family!

This post is dedicated to my daughter, son, my granddaughter, Mom and me! We all have June birthdays (or early July)!  

Since I've been setting tables and cloths different each day, I thought this would be fun! Note, my musical clown cake stand that plays "Happy Birthday"

I found this Golden Book "We help Mommy" and thought it would be fitting. I love the pictures of the little girl and boy.

This record album was still in the package. I like the record player.

This is also one of my favorite tablecloths for Summer, because of the bright colors and polka dots!

 

Of course, we have to make cookies with our Tupperware birthday cake cookie cutters!

Tables, tablecloths, porch

My new chairs are growing on me...and speaking of growing, my basil and cilantro are doing well! I love tables and tablecloths. Scored this one hanging on the line yesterday at a thrift store! Finally painted my standup ashtray and found the actual ashtray that goes in it. Love it's fiftiness, even tho I don't smoke!

Housedresses or housecoats?

Since I lost my job, I think I'm developing a Cinderella complex. Don't laugh, I read the book back in the 80's, along with every other self help book there was!That's one thing about getting older, you can laugh at yourself! Anywho, I am now enjoying my housecoats as my grandma would have called them. Some of them are house dresses. But the ones I've been wearing are more house coats. 

I have a few that I'm going to sell, either too big or too little..but really cute. Some have never been worn. But I am developing quite the collection. The best lpart is - I worked two blocks from my house, and the ex co workers drive by all the time, seeing me in my "house coats"! I'll bet they're saying, Poor Deb, she's really gone down hill". LOL! NOT!! I'm planting the gardens, painting and taking care of a lot of things I have wanted to do for a while. Am I worried? A little. But I know that my higher power is not gonna drop me now. I just don't want to get too comfy in this role! I have always liked being home. Have a great weekend, and let's see your housedresses!
