In the checkout, you could find the latest issues of TVGuide. This one has Bewitched "Samantha" on the cover.There was usually a fabric and sewing section, especially at Ben Franklin. And, patterns of course~

Toys were in the dime stores, too, but this cool Treasure finder works and it's still in the Radio Shack packaging! (for sale on my Etsy)

Happy but tiring day

Hey all! What did you do on your Saturday?I cut the grass, worked in the garden, picked some beans, and took my Mom to the grocery store. I managed to stop in one of my favorite thrift stores...more on that later. Then, I came home, transplanted some basil, had dinner at Mom's, chased down 2 dogs that always seem to get away from me, (they're finally home now-very stinky and wet), sat on the deck for a while.

My flamingos have spilled out to the porch and the yard. I love my wooden planter, even though the legs need to be reattached. It's true..at the end of the day, there's no place like home.

I look around the house, and notice...I have a thing for plastic stuff. In fact, I LOVE it. Whether it's a canister or a scoop or a salt and pepper shaker, it gives me a little thrill when I spot it. The brighter the color the better!

It just goes so good with vintage linens, etc...I love the cheerfulness of it!
