China Cabinet Change/ Dining room redo part one

I've been meaning to do this for a while now. The dishes I found at the thrift store have been sitting in my van in a box and I finally took time to bring them in. The are the Colorcraft Jamaica Bay pattern, by Taylor, Smith and Taylor...with green and turquoise, and they match my other dishes well, so I redid the china cabinet in turquoise and white.

At first I thought they were Temporama, but a little research and I found the Colorcraft dishes...very similar pattern, though.

Photo fiasco

Hello and welcome to the picture section of Zootsuit's etsy. I cannot see my pictures, can you? Why do they show up here, and not on Etsy? Anyway, see my etsy shop for prices, etc. Here are some of the purses, etc...that are for sale.

Has anyone else experienced this on Etsy?? All of the sudden, I can't see any of my pictures! My sis looked on her computer, and she can see them. It's crazy! Granted, my computer is old, and my pictures are crappy, but until I can get another, it will have to do. Just wondering what you all do to make things more appealing on Etsy. Until then, I'm trying to post pictures on Facebook and here, so my blog friends can see what all I have.

Hello all!

I know, it's been too long! STILL looking for a job, but some promising leads. I have been taking some things to a consignment shop, trying to get my etsy going and generally trying to accomplish things around the house while off from work! I thought it would be fun to do an apron post. If you are anything like me, you love aprons. I guess it is symbolic of a different time, comfort food and someone in the kitchen serving it up!

Old cookbooks depict this so well. Of course, my Mom never wore aprons, but Grandma did sometimes, although I remember "housecoats or housedresses" more. But it makes me think of them anyway, when I see a picture like the one above.

This yellow apron has all the details I love about this era. Rick rack, ruffles and polka dots! (This one is for sale on my etsy!)

I have a whole collection of seasonal/holiday aprons, but love this smiling Santa!

This crocheted one matches all my Mexican themed Fiesta stuff. Very cute..

The red one with white and sequins reminds me of my Grandma's awesome red and white kitchen curtains!Let's see all your aprons, and I'll post more. The one I like best will win an apron Give a Way!

Zoot's part 2- vanity items

More items from Zoot's boudoir! And...I'll probably do a third! You all know how it is. I change too often.As Vintage Christine noted, we often have to "visit" our stuff in the basement, storage, etc..This lady razor is too cool! I still have the original booklet that came with it. It has a black sparkly case, and a pink silky interior. I honestly think it belonged to a female Bigfoot, because it was never used. ha.

Lots of jewelry out then...and lipstick holders etc.

These two plastic boxes I use for jewelry are actually Russell Stover candy boxes. Can you imagine candy coming in something so cool?

More pink plastic dressing table powder box, lotion or soap pump type container and one of my vanity lamps. Also one of my Oriental (ok Asian) jewelry boxes and makeup mirror that lights up! Also, I have been finding this "weaved" metal items - I don't know how vintage this one is, but I do have purses, etc. that I am sure are vintage. I like this because it holds makeup remover pads, and has lucite/or clear plastic top with little holes that you can store makeup brushes in.

I have more, just stay tuned in!
