I love red, and the starburst dial is so cute! And, like I need another cannister, I found this one the same day. I don't have one like this with the checks and flowers. Yellow and red, my fav kitchen combo!

howdy doooody ya'll Let's spin a few platters!

I finally found a fold up hi-fi, sixties. It has an extra needle, still in the box. First thing I did was seperate the speakers, which I was always told to do by "those in the know"...Then I put on some Go-Go's, Billy Idol and AC/DC. Very strange...I guess we are so used to CDs now, but it's fun to put the needle on the record!

..and now for a shot of the speaker. How creative. Don't ask me what happened to the color in these pix, kind of a "blue mood". I finally got my pole lamp to stand up without leaning. I love this lamp, it's straight from the Ozarks, from my friend Merilee/Retrocurbclimber. These glasses with diamonds (black and gold) are very rat packish...I found a holder at a different garage sale..love the black on the handle.
I guess the pix came out blue because I'm kind of blue...my little Angel, my Beagle, has been coughing, which she has always done off and on. I think Beagles have a reverse sneeze, and it's from a weird larynx, but the cough is getting more frequent. The vet gave her an antibiotic, but it could be congestive heart failure. Hope not. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

She's always done this, esp. when there's food around! She's my little cutie.

Saturday -Yeah!!!

I thought I had better post something, so y'all wouldn't think I was dead! I'm in that Saturday morning limbo...wanting to accomplish a lot, yet not able to decide where to start. What I'd really like to do and what I will do are probably two very different scenarios. I love the weekends, just to be home with all my vintage stuff around me. I know that sounds very "surface" and "material" but it truly is my haven, and I feel good when surrounded by my home. Yet, one feeling I sometimes experience is, "all this stuff, and I'd like to go garage sale-ing or to the thrift stores. Why?" Well, it is my hobby. I don't think of myself as a hoarder, but then, don't go into my basement. I did close a shop, and neeeeeed to do something about selling a lot of it, but haven't heard from the flea market for a small booth. I will make myself face this issue within the next month, as I want it done before it gets cold again.I was reading Mary Deluxe's blog about paring down and little houses, and my house IS little...and thinking it would be a big relief to at least unload some things. But, on the other hand, this stuff tells my story! And, as I said, it makes me feel at home. I used to drink and drug, was obsessed with men and relationships and overall an unhealthy woman. That was 24 years ago, and my life has changed, but I still love my "stuff".I guess it's just kind of out of balance right now-I need to get back into dancing, maybe...find a relationship. But, all in all I feel good about my life.Any feedback out there???
Speaking of stuff, my best friend Merilee found these awesome Oriental blond coffee and end tables down at the Lake (Ozarks) at a garage sale. As you know, my living room is also dubbed the "opium den", so it will be a welcome addition.Needs a little clean up and it was well worth it! So me hear your opinion about this topic. I'll post some new finds later today...

Hey all, I had some stuff returned that I sent on the last giveaway! One pkg is still at the post office, and I'm going today. Something either  broke or I didn't pack them right.( *thought I did... ). I'll resend or substitute!

Meanwhile, LOOK what I found, finally! Ever since I saw Frankie's wife's glass light up coffee pot, I've wanted one soooo bad! Well, yesterday I found one with the book etc still inside! These pix, as usual, are not great..try again tonight!

How much furniture can you fit in one little house?? There's always a way...

The living room is hard to photograph. Mirrors never turn out right for me. If I turn on the flash, you see the flash, if I don't it's kinda dark.

Every time I see a couch and a chair that is really really inexpensive, it just seems impossible to not take it home...they are so hard to find in such perfect condition! I need a bigger house!My fav book..Rockabillies.

This pink lamp was waiting for me Thursday night at the thrift store. It was only 2.99, and I have the perfect shade! I loved these little guest towels. 

This is the couch. How many couches can fit in one little house? Well, some cool and cheap furniture just can't be passed up.

I changed the dining room back ! It's called musical furniture.It got really hot back here and chickened out and moved the bedroom..Gave me a chance to decorate and clean.

The last few days have been busy, but did manage to find some goodies...a bowl fireking..

This cocktail set has every thing - It's pink and black, has a shaker and two glasses~

So, this peek of summery glassware should make you want to sit on the deck, back porch etc..and have a glass of cold ice tea!!More tommorow

Hey there hi there ho there!

I've been preoccupied with my Granddaughters, up from Florida and their Dad, my son... Did find time to get some junkin' done, moved some furniture around, cleaned, moved another couch and chair in, (and it's awesome)!
Need to take more pictures of it - you can't see it in these.... More tomorrow, just checkin' in!
