My bestest friend Merilee at RetroCurbclimber gave me this a while back, and two of the chairs are no longer usable, but I love the print on the chairs! Plus - This is my new look in the "dining room: converted from a bedroom off the living room. A while back, I moved my bedroom to the back of the house. I have had this table, but in a different place. I love the boomerang legs! It matches the blond desk and china cabinet! The green formica is now spending the summer on my deck, and has more seating when we eat out there! I have the "leaf" to extend it, too. Angel my beagle baby is snoozing in the corner as usual.

Hey hey hey! Counting down to Mick's party! This is now my new screensaver! I ran acrossed these houses RIGHT IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD!

Here I am. Zootsuit mama. I hate pictures of me, but oh well. 55 and counting! I still feel like I should be 35 or 25, but since I have kids aged 38 in August, 36 in June and 20 last Sunday June 13th-I guess it's time to face reality....Keep in mind that this was 6pm, after working all day . AND, I cannot see how kids take their own darn picture with those camera phones, but I look like a convict. Soooo.... I will vow to start showing the real me, in vintage clothes and say "Whatever" I am what I am. Could be better, could be worse, but glad to be alive and 55 (56 on June 25th!) I wouldn't go back, and every day gets better. So -tell me?

If I have only one life, should I live it as a blonde? Only my hairdressers know for sure if blondes have more fun. Of course, I had fun with grey, black, red ....whatever the haircolor!

I finally got my rear in gear and took the pix! I have been on the "blog circuit" for a fairly short time. In that time I have met some of the coolest, nicest people in the world.Thanks for including me in the fun! Now...I promised a give a way? Oh, yes...Stay tuned -tonight I will post the pictures and reveal the mystery gifts. One hint....it will include vintage table clothes in the mix, but .... THAT's NOT ALL, FOLKS!

PS-I guess the last post is "all washed up"...But -I did learn something. Maybe there just isn't that much real vintage laundry stuff (mid century mod, that is) to be had? Stay tuned, also, for a big debut of MY retro laundry room. Hopefully I will get it back together this weekend!

Hey all you hip chicks and dudes! I have a PROPOSITION!!

For some reason, I am obsessed with laundry rooms. I wonder, could it be because my cute little retro laundry room was taken over a few years back by my son? Why, yes. I believe it is the reason. If I am using short curt sentences, it's only because I am stifling a scream!! Not once, but twice, my son was allowed to move back into my extra room off the basement. Ya know what the definition of insanity is, RIGHT?? "Doing the same things over and over, and expecting different results".

I can't believe I never took any pictures of my little launderette, just to prove that it really did exist. That was before my blogging days...many long years ago.

So, I am relying on cute pix from the internet to compensate, and when the lil room gets back together, I'll take a bunch of pix!

But, wait! I'll describe it. First off, after I fumigated and washed everything down with bleach (YES IT WAS NECESSARY!!) I painted the walls white, moved in my oriental yellow formica table with the inlaid oriental women, put up all my retro tin laundry signs etc..and even made a little corner for my sewing machine that I have never used. It was precious. I could wash, dry and fold my laundry, without having to fight the dust bunnies from the dryer and trip over years worth of vintage stuff that I just couldn't live without! It was cheerful and homey. And then, I lost my mind for a minute, "Why don't you, and your girlfriend, move in until you find your own place again?" Ha ha. Two years later, and my little room was filled with any computer equipment that was known to man, stacked to the ceiling crap, a bed, shelves, TV ....on and on. Then came the famous day when my sanity returned...but that's a story for another time. But, before I could remove the stuff ("I'll come get all my computer garbage soon...") guess what? A flash flood, stopped up sump pump and lots of slimy clothes, junk, computer equipment sitting in water up to my knees. And, it's funny, but guess who hadta remove it? Right! Zootsuitmama. So - if I ever post something that even hints that I again am losing my mind and about to let someone move in, please do an intervention!!

So.... until I get the laundry room back together (oh, and I forgot to mention my pink ironing board!)-I have a propostion. I am about to reach 50 followers...so-ya know what that means? Give a way! I need pictures, stories, or both posted on your blogs about retro/vintage laundry stuff. That's all it takes to enter. I'll post pix tonight of the give a way goodies! So - get on it! It will motivate me to get down there and get my room back together!

Welcome back to my blog! I've been sorta out of the blogoshpere this week. Not only was it a short, but busy one-but a lot of "challenged" people around. Challenged like, "YOU need to go to charm school" challenged. I cannot wait to get home to my little garden and family/ dogs.My garden is coming along-

I have one little tomato, but you'd have thought, "Where is it" if I did a closeup! There is also a pix of my tiny trailer sink, stove, and the front garden, that is getting a little taller. The yellow squash are bloomin!
Thrift stores haven't had much, so I am focusing on the outdoors for today. Tomorrow I plan to get another give a way together for  my  50th Blogger..I now have 49-so tell one and all!! Zootsuitmama
